Based in Manchester, Move More Mindfully specialises in personalised mindful Physiotherapy and Mindfulness Coaching delivered by fully qualified Physiotherapist and Mindfulness Coach, Sam Hewitt.
Move More Mindfully Physio recognises individuals are much more complex than an isolated Physical problem. Sometimes, it can be hard to change patterns of emotional and physical stress which impacts our bodies, for example. We work with a person-centred approach, addressing both mind and body, to support you to feel your best.
Wellbeing is a very personal thing. We offer time and empathy, working with you in a way that is comfortable and meaningful for you to improve your day-to-day life, because one size does not fit all.
Using evidence-based Physiotherapy and mindfulness coaching expertise, we offer tailored treatment to support both mind and body. Both can influence each other, so why treat one in isolation?
Therapy will always be delivered respectfully and we embrace diversity. Please note Move More Mindfully Physiotherapy is not a counselling nor mental health service, we would advise seeking alternative support if you require this.
Hi, I'm Sam. I'm a HCPC registered Physiotherapist and qualified Mindfulness Coach. I hold additional training in evidence-based Tai Chi for use in clinical settings.
I have NHS Physiotherapy experience working with a range of conditions such as such as Parkinsons / neurological, Stroke, respiratory, chronic conditions, those struggling with reduced mobility and post-surgical recovery.
I have completed mindful relaxation programmes with people suffering from anxiety following a health event, for example a Stroke. I am experienced working in both clinic and community settings, having worked visiting people’s homes for therapy for several years.
I have experienced chronic pain and other debilitating health symptoms as an adult, before eventually being diagnosed with chronic health conditions including Endometriosis (for which I received surgery) and Adenomyosis. I understand how frustrating and, at times, lonely it can feel to struggle with your health. I have firsthand experience of the effects this can have on our bodies and mind. This experience gave me a passion for exploring the mind-body connection (where our thoughts, emotions and physical body influence one another).
Staying active, practicing mindfulness and Tai Chi mindful movement have been a lifeline for my own well-being over the years. I truly believe there is a different approach that can benefit a range of people. I know it helped me. Now, let me help you.
